Woburn, Mass. - Tuesday, May 16, 2006 - Demandware (www.demandware.com), provider of the Software as a Service (SaaS)-based ecommerce platform, today announced that Tom Ebling, the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ProfitLogic, has joined its Board of Directors. With more than 20 years of experience in business management, software development and vertical industry sales, Ebling has earned a reputation for driving growth and delivering shareholder value.

Ebling joined ProfitLogic, a leading provider of merchandise optimization solutions for retailers, as Chairman and CEO in May 2002. ProfitLogic was acquired by Oracle in July 2005. Before joining ProfitLogic, Ebling served as the CEO of Torrent Systems Inc. of Cambridge, a data warehousing infrastructure software company that was sold to Ascential Software Corp. in November 2001. Prior to his tenure at Torrent Systems, he spent 18 years at Marcam Solutions Inc. of Newton, joining the company as its third employee and, as Executive Vice President of Customer Operations, helping grow and guide Marcam through a successful IPO to a $200 million company. Earlier, he served as President of Wyoming Software Design, a company he co-founded.
Ebling is a magna cum laude graduate of Williams College with a Bachelor's degree in mathematics and attended Harvard Law School. He holds a patent for inventions in software related to process manufacturing at Marcam Corporation.
