Woburn, Mass. - May 1, 2007 - Demandware, developer of the leading on-demand eCommerce platform, announced today its founder and chairman Stephan Schambach has been elected to the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) Software Division Board of Directors. The Software Division Board of the SIIA is a volunteer group of leaders within the software industry. The new members of the SIIA's Software Division Board of Directors will officially take office as of July 1, 2007.
In addition to Stephan Schambach, founder and chairman of Demandware, other recently elected members include Karen Leavitt of Marketing Fusion, Michel Koopman of Citrix Systems, Bill Loss of WebApps, Michael Ferris of Red Hat and David Engelbrecht of OpSource. Current members of the SIIA Software Division Board include representatives of Oracle, Novell, IBM Global Services and Salesforce.com.
Working with David Thomas, the Division's Executive Director, the Software Division Board helps set the agenda and direction of the SIIA Software Division. The Software Division provides a forum for companies developing the applications, services, infrastructure and tools that are driving the software and services industry forward.
